Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, OH is seeking a Pipefitter to support the manufacturing process through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of tire-related machinery and equipment. You will also handle safety and housekeeping throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
• Industrial pipefitting experience preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, install, maintain and troubleshoot pipe systems and related equipment.
• Understand pumps, bearings, valves and hydraulic/pneumatic controls.
• Repair/replace valves, hydraulics and cooling systems.
