Flex is seeking an experienced welder to join our production team in Georgia. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up equipment, and performing MIG welding on carbon steel to meet drawings and specifications.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and willingness to assist in other department tasks. Candidates should be familiar with reading drawings, using protective gear, and maintaining equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as welder.
• MIG welding on carbon steel is the most common practice.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with flux core welding preferred but not required.
• Professional Certification (e.g. AWS welding certificate) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Set up equipment and fixture weld parts as instructed.
• Use automated welding ring to weld various ground anchors to drawing.
• Complete first article inspection.
• Use the computer to report quantity.
• Report issues and defective parts.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Help as needed in other areas in the department such as “paint pack”
• Various shop/welding tasks as assigned.
• Always maintain clean work environment.
