Zusammenfassung

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a skilled welder to support manufacturing by trouble shooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment. You will follow strict safety standards and document activities in the work order system while performing welding operations in varying positions.

Qualified candidates will have HS Diploma/GED, 6G and Structural Plate certifications, and experience with GTAW, GMAW, SMAW.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma/GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.
• No relocation unless required by the CBA.
• Must complete post-offer contingencies and have basic computer skills.
• Must provide basic tools and have 6G/Structural Plate certifications.
• Experience with GTAW, GMAW, SMAW is required.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions with multiple technologies.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and specs.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat bend, grind or bolt parts to configuration.
• Monitor welding process to avoid overheating or distortion.
• Use hand and power tools typical to welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
• Log repair activities in the work order system and follow safety standards.
