Tooele City is seeking a qualified individual to join our Public Works team as an Industrial Pre-Treatment/Cross Connection Inspector. The career ladder offers three levels with hourly wages starting at the low end of $27.47 and rising to $36.13, depending on level, experience, and certifications.

The role includes inspecting facilities, evaluating discharges, identifying backflow hazards, maintaining records, and supporting water conservation efforts.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license and driving record acceptable to Tooele City's risk-management and insurance standards.
• Computer skills, including data entry, reporting, word processing, email, and internet use.
• Must possess or obtain Utah Certified Cross-Connection Control Program Administrator certification within one year of assignment.
• Relevant experience in wastewater collection systems or water trades, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect commercial and industrial facilities to ensure compliance with wastewater discharge requirements.
• Evaluate wastewater discharges and identify cross-connections and backflow hazards.
• Ensure appropriate prevention measures are in place and maintain records and regulatory reports.
• Work with businesses to correct compliance issues and support water conservation efforts.
