Job summary

Eagle Mountain City is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to administer and enforce the municipality's Industrial Pretreatment Program, protecting the wastewater system. You will oversee CIUs, SIUs, and restaurants with FOG control, and ensure compliance with the Clean Water Act and 40 CFR Part 403.

The role involves field inspections, data management, reporting, and collaboration with Wastewater Manager to plan for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, biology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial pretreatment, wastewater compliance, or environmental regulation.
• Knowledge of 40 CFR Part 403 and local sewer regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain the Industrial Pretreatment Program.
• Identify, classify, and permit industrial users including SIUs/CIUs.
• Review compliance documentation and conduct inspections.
• Coordinate sampling, monitoring, and data management.
• Enforce violations and assist in enforcement actions.
• Develop and manage FOG control program and inspections.
• Support long-term planning for community growth.
