Job summary

Edge Staffing is seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer to deploy computer vision systems in manufacturing environments in the Greater Boston area. This hands-on role covers cameras, optics, lighting, sensors, and mechanical integration, taking systems from install to reliable operation.

You will work across hardware and software teams, design mechanical supports, and use CAD tools to create scalable deployment solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on deployment of camera/vision systems in production.
• Experience with cameras, optics, sensors, and lighting.
• Background in mechanical engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software for designing hardware and mounts.
• Experience bringing hardware from design through deployment and troubleshooting.
• Comfort working directly with hardware in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Select and deploy cameras, sensors, optics, and lighting for production.
• Integrate and troubleshoot vision systems for production requirements.
• Design and support mechanical structures for camera deployments.
• Use CAD to design hardware components and supporting structures.
• Build and test hardware systems and test rigs.
• Troubleshoot hardware integration issues in lab and at sites.
• Support deployments and coordinate with local integrators.
• Evaluate custom hardware and pursue standardized, reusable systems.
• Collaborate with software, sales, and solutions teams.
• Help develop scalable hardware deployment processes.
