Job summary

ASIC, LLC is seeking an Electric Drive Specialist in the Engineering department. You will install, configure, commission, and service industrial VFD systems (AC/DC) to ensure reliable motor control and performance for customers.

The role involves collaboration with engineering, operations, and clients to support new installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities include programming drive logic, tuning for efficiency, and remote/on-site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with a wide range of industrial applications.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~40%, mostly local to Cincinnati.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission AC and DC VFD systems for industrial applications.
• Configure and program drive parameters to match motor characteristics and requirements.
• Perform startup procedures, functional testing, and system validation.
• Verify integration of drives with PLCs, HMIs, and control systems where possible.
• Diagnose and resolve drive system faults and perform field service and maintenance.
