Job summary

SVI Bremco, located in Pineville, LA, seeks a Valve Technician to repair and service relief, control, and pneumatic valves. Responsibilities include mechanical disassembly, inspection, testing, and field service at various job sites across industrial plants.

The role requires 1–3+ years of valve repair experience, a clean driving record, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel/assist in other departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 2-year Associate Degree in mechanical preferred.
• 1–3+ years of control valve and safety valve repair experience desired; hydraulics/pneumatics helpful.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willing to cross-train in other department areas as needed.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/kneel/walk for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests; clean background.
• Knowledge of rigging, lifting and moving heavy/awkward products.

Responsibilities

• Repair relief valves, control valves, on/off valves and pneumatic actuators.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at job sites.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, machine, lap, paint, assemble and test valves and actuators.
• Test with certified equipment and document QA/QC/National Board VR work.
• Complete field service worksheets and submit to coordinator after work.
• Communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding valve and instrumentation requirements.
• Obtain site-specific and safety training for valve repair services.
• Maintain company vehicle and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Assist other team members as required.
• Duties subject to change by management.
