Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC, seeks an Industrial Utilities Maintenance Technician I (days) to support aseptic production utilities, improve system reliability, and reduce downtime across multiple processes. You will participate in shutdown planning, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure accurate SAP documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience and knowledge in mechanical, electrical and/or control systems.
• May consider a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical and/or control systems.
• Experience with automated records systems such as SAP/CMMS preferred
• Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documents preferred
• Experience in planning/organizing work, checking results & revising the work plan in accordance with the daily work plan a plus
• Demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving & troubleshooting. Support & actively participate in event response activities for the process. Documents problems & works to bring them rapidly to solution Preferred
• Ability to work with electronic batch records, automated process equipment and/or BMS and FMS systems preferred
• Proficient in the operation and design production utility systems such as: purified water, process air, chemical storage, process waste systems, chilled water, clean and dirty steam, high pressure air, vacuum, air handling equipment preferred
• Knowledgeable of Compressed air, Plant steam, Vacuum, Chilled Water, RO/ Pretreatment water systems required

Responsibilities

• Participate in plant Shutdown planning & execution
• Perform corrective & preventative maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner
• Manage individual training plan
• Assure that all Maintenance activities are documented in SAP & communicated in the shift turnover reports
• Operate, monitor & control equipment, systems & processes as assigned
• Partner with process owners to actively improve performance & reliability of process equipment
• Perform routine cleaning and maintain good housekeeping for assigned areas
• Support the development & establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans & spare parts lists for processes assigned
• Contribute to your future growth & development by learning new systems
• Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, &/or weekends
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
• Other duties, as assigned
