Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator I to manage multiple unit processes in an industrial facility, including wastewater treatment, boilers, water filtration, and related support equipment.

Responsibilities include process monitoring, data logging, routine lab tests, and coordinating contractor activities to ensure continuous operations. Requires hands‑on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills, plus ability to learn and operate equipment in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational training or 2–4 years of related ops experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills with PLC experience.
• Ability to read English instructions and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment manually and via control panels and PLCs following procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and implement repairs to maintain operations.
• Coordinate with contractors and document activities in shift logs.
