Job summary

ARCO/Murray in the Chicagoland area seeks a Project Manager to own TI/industrial projects from design to completion. You will manage client relationships, budgets, and subcontractors, ensuring on-time delivery and value engineering opportunities.

With a strong focus on preconstruction through closeout, you will drive planning, scheduling, and risk mitigation while leading meetings and coordinating with design teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2-10 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience around tenant improvement projects in the commercial space is highly preferred.
• Proficiency using project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope, discuss cost-saving ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors to solve constructability and manpower issues.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress, manage performance vs budget, and prepare owner pay applications.
