Job summary

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America seeks a Technical Publications Writer to create and revise manuals, user guides, and product documents. You will collaborate with engineering, QA, operations, and production to capture product details and publication requirements.

Responsibilities include editing reference manuals, managing document portals, and planning writing tasks with engineers and project managers. Proficiency in MS Office and strong written communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or related field with 4 years' manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field with 2 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Writes and edits technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals.
• Writes and edits procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals.
• Manages portals where technical documents are made available to users.
• Determines the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
• Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
• Creates diagrams and visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
• Gathers feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers to improve technical documents.
