Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Industrial Systems Engineer to optimize multiple high‑volume manufacturing processes. The role spansEngineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing IT to deliver solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

You will partner with area teams, develop capacity plans, and implement production management systems while applying AI/ML and GenAI tools to operations.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Engineering; MS preferred.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor-related work in Engineering is advantageous.
• Experience deploying Lean principles and methods is advantageous.
• Experience with Fab Automation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Area teams to understand operations and drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
• Establish and maintain area production management systems (Capacity Modelling, RTD Dispatch, Fab Scheduling, Forecasting).
• Improve OEE and cycle-time with Lean methods and smart automation.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML, GenAI, and LLM applications for operations.
• Communicate objectives and forecasts with area teams and leadership.
• Coordinate capacity planning for equipment and staffing; align with global peers.
• Define requirements, perform UAT for IE systems, and support internal/external software solutions.
