Job summary
Millennium Print Group in North Carolina is seeking an Industrial Systems Engineer to drive digital twin-enabled manufacturing optimization. You will design, simulate, and refine production layouts, logistics, and capital projects to improve scalability and efficiency for the world’s largest trading card operation.
The role requires 5–7 years in related fields, strong CAD and simulation tools, and collaboration across Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, facility design, systems engineering, simulation, or infrastructure planning.
- Experience developing discrete-event simulation models using FlexSim, Arena, or similar simulation platforms.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Experience supporting digital twin development, facility design, manufacturing optimization, or capital projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, material flow, capacity planning, automation, utilities, and production infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting greenfield or brownfield manufacturing projects, automation systems, MES/WMS integration, conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, or robotics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize discrete-event simulation models to evaluate manufacturing operations, capacity, throughput, labor utilization, and material flow.
- Create and maintain digital twin models and CAD-based facility layouts that support manufacturing design, equipment integration, and future expansion.
- Analyze manufacturing scenarios to identify process improvements, validate engineering assumptions, and support data-driven decision making.
- Design and optimize material flow strategies involving conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, warehousing, buffering, and production routing.
- Lead manufacturing infrastructure planning for utilities including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, network connectivity, and dust collection.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Automation, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Project Management, and equipment suppliers to support capital projects and facility improvements.
- Participate in equipment layout reviews, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production startup activities.
- Develop engineering standards, simulation governance, documentation practices, and best practices for digital modeling.
- Present engineering recommendations, dashboards, and technical findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance through simulation, systems engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking for an Industrial Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Raleigh, NC.
