Gresham Smith is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join the Building Engineering team in Nashville. The role focuses on supporting business development, leading technical proposals, and delivering advanced structural designs for industrial projects.

You will plan, assess, and coordinate design work, mentor staff, and interact with clients and agencies to ensure successful project execution. A strong foundation in structural engineering and licensure is essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience; up to 10 years preferred; PM/operational experience a plus.
• Experience with structural design of steel, concrete (conventional and post-tensioned), masonry, and high wind/seismic design.
• Experience using structural design software tools: RISA, RAM, Navis Manage, Tedds, RetainPro, Adapt-Building.
• P.E. licensure required; S.E. license preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate structural engineering work for significant projects.
• Lead and mentor team members while performing structural engineering for projects.
• Prepare engineering reports, plans and specifications; design and produce drawings.
• Review preliminary/final plans, specs, estimates; coordinate changes as needed.
• Participate in contract bidding and construction administration services.
• Provide leadership and manage structural design tasks within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with clients, city/state officials, and consultants; ensure clear communication.
