Job summary

Gresham Smith in Tampa, FL is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to lead design efforts for major projects, coordinate with clients and city agencies, and mentor team members.

Bachelor's or graduate degree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience is required; PE license preferred; experience with steel, concrete, seismic design and software tools such as RISA and RAM is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience required. Prefer up to 10 years of structural design and consulting experience.
• Experience in design with structural steel, concrete, masonry, high wind and seismic design.
• Experience using structural design software tools (RISA, RAM, Navis Manage, Tedds, RetainPro, Adapt-Building).
• P.E. licensure; S.E. license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the firm’s Business Development Principals and serve as the primary technical representative for structural consulting services.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate structural engineering work and mentor team members.
• Prepare reports, plans, specifications, drawings, and technical documents; review and revise drawings.
