Job summary

BSI Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Structural Engineering Manager to lead our growing Structural team. This role balances technical excellence with people leadership, guiding engineers, overseeing projects, and shaping our practice in industrial facilities.

You will mentor talent, drive innovation, and help expand our capabilities in FRP systems, FRP applications, and advanced analysis while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or related field, PE license required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing/consulting environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading people and projects as a direct manager.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI 318, AISC, NDS and related design standards.
• Experience with structural analysis and engineering calculations using industry-standard software (RISA 3D, MathCAD).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to balance technical responsibilities with personnel development and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineers and designers, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Provide technical leadership for design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and specialty systems for industrial facilities.
• Guide successful project execution balancing technical quality, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Serve as trusted advisor to project teams and clients, delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Champion innovation through new technologies, tools, and methods within the Structural discipline.
