Job summary
EDG Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer III to lead analysis, design, and detailing of industrial facilities in Columbus. You will contribute to projects in power generation, transmission & distribution, bulk material handling, and oil & gas sectors, under senior engineers and PMs.
The role requires a PE-leaning skill set with strong CAD/BIM capabilities, collaboration across disciplines, and field support as needed. Hybrid schedule offered with growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or Structural Engineering.
- EIT certification required.
- Experience with steel and concrete design codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, IBC).
- 5–10 years of structural engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural engineering calculations, analyses, and design documents for industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Design steel and reinforced concrete structures according to industry codes and client standards.
- Develop loading criteria including dead, live, wind and seismic loads.
- Perform foundation analysis and design using geotechnical information.
- Review vendor drawings and supplier documentation for compliance with project requirements.
