BorgWarner in North Carolina seeks a Material Planner to ensure uninterrupted material availability for automotive production and optimize inventory. You will analyze demand patterns, manage SAP planning parameters, and collaborate with procurement, scheduling, and suppliers to improve delivery performance.

The role emphasizes ERP/MRP mastery, Excel analytics, and driving improvements in planning, supplier delivery, and cost. A related bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; an associate degree with equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of material planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, procurement, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Automotive and/or commercial vehicle manufacturing experience strongly preferred, including exposure to OEM releases, EDI, launches, engineering changes, capacity constraints, and customer delivery requirements.
• Experience managing suppliers and resolving material shortages in a time-critical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical demand, forecasts, and lifecycle patterns to identify demand for each material and translate into replenishment strategies.
• Execute MRP and manage SAP planning parameters; maintain accurate material master data and scheduling data.
• Monitor shortages, past-due supplies, and supplier performance; drive corrective actions and supplier communication.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Production Scheduling, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Logistics.
• Support SIOP/S&OP processes with data-driven analysis of risk, variability, and inventory exposure.
