Job summary

Forge Nano is seeking a Software Engineer I to support development, testing, documentation, and deployment of software for Forge Nano’s semiconductor ALD production equipment. Reporting to Senior Engineer, this role contributes to software feature development, equipment integration, laboratory testing, and continuous improvement of industrial software systems.

The ideal candidate is an early-career software engineer with a strong interest in industrial automation, controls, semiconductor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/Industrial Automation or related field.
• 0-2 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language; C# preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software features for Forge Nano equipment using C#, .NET, and WPF.
• Develop unit tests and participate in software verification activities.
• Troubleshoot software defects and support corrective actions.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and team development activities.
• Maintain software requirements, design documentation, test plans, release notes, and other records.
• Communicate project progress and risks to stakeholders.
