Job summary

UNCLE JOHN'S PRIDE, LLC in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Smokehouse Kitchen Worker to operate large industrial smokehouses and related equipment. The schedule starts early and runs until work is done, with Monday–Friday shifts and Saturdays as needed.

You will follow recipes, monitor temperatures and humidity, ensure product quality and safety, and maintain sanitation. Candidates need 1–2 years in meat processing or food manufacturing and the ability to lift up to 50–60 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, or meat processing environment (smokehouse experience preferred).
• Ability to stand for long shifts (8–12 hours) and lift heavy racks up to 50–60 pounds.
• Comfort working in variable temperatures and wearing PPE (hairnets, frocks, steel-toed boots, aprons).
• Basic math and reading to interpret recipes and log data with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate large industrial smokehouses, steam cookers, and smoke generators.
• Monitor cycle parameters including internal product temperature, humidity, smoke density, and airflow.
• Load and unload meat products onto trucks or racks safely and efficiently.
• Follow recipes and adjust timers and temperature controls as required.
• Maintain sanitation and report malfunctions to maintenance staff.
