Job summary

Topographic, Inc. in Oklahoma City is seeking a Survey Technician I to perform technically complex land surveying for industrial site development and terrestrial laser scanning. You will process and analyze survey data, prepare deliverables, and review maps to ensure accuracy and compliance with property laws.

Responsibilities include researching records, using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD to produce base drawings and maps, QA/QC, and supporting field crews on projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of mathematics used in field survey analysis.
• Ability to write technical reports and use computer-assisted surveying applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, title reports, and legal descriptions.
• Proficient with MS Office and drafting reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform research of county, city, and other sources of record information for easements and deeds to prepare field sketches.
• Use Trimble Business Center to process field data and prepare files for AutoCAD import.
• Create survey base drawings from field data, photos, and reference maps.
• Produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys with AutoCAD.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way and easements.
• Perform QA/QC on work and verify accuracy.
