Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA, seeks an Industrial Security Specialist to sustain a robust security program per NISPOM and 32 CFR 117. The role includes COMSEC management, audits, and policy development, within an onsite team environment.

The candidate will coordinate with government and external bodies, handle classified shipments, and train personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance and secure operations throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience or knowledge of 32 CFR 117, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM), and ISLs.
• Experience processing classified shipments and maintaining accountability of classified assets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Current Secret Clearance Required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classified document control, accountability, and shipment records.
• Support visitor access, personnel security, employee briefings, and security education.
• Prepare for and participate in security audits, inspections, and administrative inquiries.
• Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, OPSEC plans, and procedures.
• Manage COMSEC equipment, materials, key management, records, and compliance.
• Conduct COMSEC audits and inspections and support incident response and reporting.
• Provide COMSEC training and guidance to personnel.
• Coordinate with government and external organizations on security and COMSEC requirements.
