Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to join the fast-paced security team onsite. You will help develop and maintain a comprehensive security program aligned with 32 CFR Part 117 and NISPOM, and will serve as COMSEC Manager.

The role emphasizes handling classified shipments, audits, training, and coordination with government agencies, with a current Secret clearance required prior to start and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• A university degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years in a security role.
• Experience with 32 CFR 117, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM), and ISLs.
• Current Secret Clearance required prior to start.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classified document control, accountability, and shipment records.
• Support visitor access, personnel security, employee briefings, and security education.
• Prepare for and participate in security audits, inspections, and administrative inquiries.
• Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, OPSEC plans, and procedures.
• Manage COMSEC equipment, materials, key management, records, and compliance.
• Conduct COMSEC audits and inspections and support incident response and reporting.
• Provide COMSEC training and guidance to personnel.
• Coordinate with government and external organizations on security and COMSEC requirements.
