Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced scheduling professional to manage and maintain the P6 schedule for overhaul projects. The role involves working with the Overhaul Manager to assess effects on shutdown duration and ensure alignment with the charter.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in planning, scheduling, and project controls, with strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project, plus PMI/AACE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industrial planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating experience.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field preferred.
• AACE International or PMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the P6 schedule to reflect current status.
• Issue the baseline draft schedule by May 1.
• Review shutdown and start-up logic with plant management.
• Export all relevant activities from planning system.
• Assist in validation meetings to fine tune the schedule.
• Prepare management monitoring graphs for the shutdown.
• Issue 3-day look ahead to area managers and foremen.
• Chair daily update meetings to gather data for schedule accuracy.
• Input all SCR work into the schedule.
• Notify the Overhaul Manager of any schedule slippage.
• Determine lay-off strategy using histograms and inform the Overhaul Contractor Manager.
