Job summary

SunSource offers the GO2 Industrial Sales Account Manager Trainee Development Program, a 12-month training path for recent graduates aiming at a full-time outside sales/account manager role. Trainees receive hands-on experience, mentorship, and product training while relocating to Addison, IL for the duration of the program.

Upon successful completion, participants advance to Account Manager with potential for bonuses and commissions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training with 2 years of related field experience OR bachelor's degree.
• Internship or co-op experience in a sales/distribution or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers in a performance-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training at our headquarters with mentorship and product training.
• Learn full cycle outside sales skills and build relationships with customers to solve problems.
• Work with Account Managers on joint sales calls visiting customers on-site.

Grow Our Own (GO2) – Industrial Sales Account Manager Trainee Development Program

GO2 is our 12-month development program designed for recent graduates and early career individuals who are interested in starting a career in industrial sales. You will receive comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and dedicated mentorship, preparing you to transition into a full-time outside sales/account manager role within an assigned territory with SunSource.

What You will Do

• Participate in structured training at our headquarters where you will receive ongoing mentorship, professional development, and in-depth product training
• Learn full cycle outside sales skills and build relationships with new and existing customers to solve real-world customer problems through technical and product solutions
• Work alongside experienced Account Managers on joint sales calls visiting customers on-site

What You will Need

• Associate degree or technical training and 2 years of experience in a related field OR bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field. Any experience or certification in hydraulics / fluid power is a great plus.
• Internship or co-op experience in a sales/distribution or manufacturing environment or individuals with mechanical interest/aptitude preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be outgoing, friendly, approachable to build relationships with peers and potential customers with a commitment to delivering top results in a performance-based environment
• Ability to relocate to Addison, IL for 12 months of training at our corporate headquarters

This is a full-time, paid position with a transition into a full-time Account Manager upon completion of the program.

Compensation: $55,000 to $65,000 / year with opportunity for bonus during the training program.

At successful completion of the training program you will be promoted to an Account Manager and eligible for sales commission.
