Job summary

SunSource is launching its GO2 Industrial Sales Account Manager Trainee Development Program, a 12-month track designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals to enter outside sales. The program provides structured training, mentorship, and hands-on product exposure to prepare you for a full-time Account Manager role within an assigned territory.

You will master full-cycle sales, build relationships with customers, and accompany senior Account Managers on joint calls.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication required.
• Internship or co-op in sales/distribution/manufacturing preferred.
• Relocation to Addison, IL for 12 months of training.

Grow Our Own (GO2) Industrial Sales Account Manager Trainee Development Program

GO2 is our 12-month development program designed for recent graduates and early career individuals who are interested in starting a career in industrial sales. You will receive comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and dedicated mentorship, preparing you to transition into a full-time outside sales/account manager role within an assigned territory with SunSource.

What You will Do

• Participate in structured training at our headquarters where you will receive ongoing mentorship, professional development, and in-depth product training
• Learn full cycle outside sales skills and build relationships with new and existing customers to solve real-world customer problems through technical and product solutions
• Work alongside experienced Account Managers on joint sales calls visiting customers on-site

What You will Need

• Associate degree or technical training and 2 years of experience in a related field OR bachelors degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field. Any experience or certification in hydraulics / fluid power is a great plus.
• Internship or co-op experience in a sales/distribution or manufacturing environment or individuals with mechanical interest/aptitude preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be outgoing, friendly, approachable to build relationships with peers and potential customers with a commitment to delivering top results in a performance-based environment
• Ability to relocate to Addison, IL for 12 months of training at our corporate headquarters

What We Offer

This is a full-time, paid position with a transition into a full-time Account Manager upon completion of the program.
