Porters Industrial in Louisiana is seeking a motivated, hard-working team member to deliver and service customers with uniforms, mats, and facility service products, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

The role includes direct route sales, maintaining inventory to meet customer needs, and achieving sales goals. The position offers a 4-day work week with a day shift and no weekend work. Candidate must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and endure temperature variations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean uniforms, mats, and facility service products, and return soiled items to the plant on time.
• Manage customer par levels to avoid overstocking flat goods.
• Manage the customer’s uniform program to ensure quality garments, avoid unnecessary ordering, and ensure customer satisfaction with appearance and safety.
• Sell additional rental services and direct sell products to existing customers based on needs and goals.
• Look for and report selling opportunities to management and related departments.
• Ensure customer retention by maintaining service agreement terms.
• Manage daily cash, company inventory, delivery vehicle, and equipment.

Delivery – Deliver clean uniforms, mats, and facility service products, return soiled products to the plant on time, and manage customer needs weekly.

Manage customer par levels to avoid overstocking flat goods.

Manage the customer’s uniform program to ensure quality garments, avoid unnecessary ordering, and ensure customer satisfaction with their appearance and safety.

Problem Solving—Communicate all problem situations to the customer with a plan on how to eliminate the problem. When necessary, request aid and assistance from Service Management.

Build Rapport—Develop a good relationship with each customer by providing for their needs and following through on requests and suggestions.

Sales – Be responsible for selling/adding to the route and meeting sales goals.

Direct Sales Products—Sell additional rental services and direct sell products to existing customers based on their needs and Porter’s assigned goals.

Look for and report selling opportunities to both management, the Direct Sales Dept., and the New Account Sales Dept.

Ensure customer retention by always maintaining service agreement terms.
