Qualifications

• Need for strong written and verbal communication.
• Completion of Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load.
• Attach pulley and blocks to overhead structures with bolts/clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Direct Crane Operator during hoisting to ensure worker safety.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate equipment movement according to signals.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as required.
