Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance professional at our Seguin, TX operations. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems, reading blueprints, and maintaining equipment using SAP, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The right candidate will have at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, be able to work a 12-hour shift, and bring their own tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Must be able to provide own tools.
• Ability to work a 12 hour shift, which includes overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces.
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause.
• Monitor and inspect equipment for defects; remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand and power tools.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, document time and corrective actions.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Work safely following safety rules and wearing PPE; participate in safety programs.
