Job summary

Tyson Foods in New London, WI is seeking a Refrigeration & Utilities Maintenance Technician to monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical refrigeration and utility systems. You will support steam generation, compressed air, and water distribution, performing installations and repairs with CMMS/SAP work orders.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to work overtime or during emergencies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of mechanical maintenance experience, OR Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency call-ins when needed.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems and utility equipment.
• Maintain steam generation, compressed air, water distribution, condensate return, and related utility systems.
• Install, inspect, and repair utility equipment using the proper tools and testing equipment.
• Complete maintenance documentation and CMMS/SAP work orders accurately.
• Support preventative maintenance initiatives to ensure reliable operation.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
• Respond to equipment issues and support emergency repairs when necessary.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to keep operations running efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
