Job summary

Americold is hiring a Forklift Technician II to perform routine maintenance, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse, ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably in Plant City, FL. You must have a high school diploma, 2 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance (or 3 years general maintenance with RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal), plus experience with ALTA/Allen Bradley controls and Oracle CMMS.

OSHA standards apply.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance or 3 years industrial maintenance with RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal.
Completion of assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses.
Troubleshoot and repair ALTA and Allen Bradley control systems.
Hazardous materials training and experience using Oracle CMMS.

Responsibilities

Operate, repair, and adjust refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse.
Monitor system performance and identify when systems are not operating correctly.
Replace components following lockout/tagout procedures and standards.
Perform basic pump out and evacuate refrigerant for valve replacement or repair.
Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment per OSHA standards.
Test, calibrate, and evaluate equipment and ensure work meets specifications and safety standards.
Maintain preventive maintenance records and keep work areas clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
