Job summary

Farmer Focus's Refrigeration Technician role supports maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our industrial refrigeration systems at the plant. The position covers ammonia refrigeration, electrical controls, boilers, HVAC, and PSM/RMP compliance; requires hands-on maintenance, accurate record-keeping, and training others.

You will work on-site on the 2nd shift, with 10% travel, and participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of industrial refrigeration experience.
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Proven knowledge of refrigeration, high-pressure steam boilers, HVAC, controls, and PSM/RMP required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of the refrigeration cycle, refrigeration equipment, controls, and electrical systems.
• Maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the ammonia refrigeration system’s equipment.
• Maintain all required operational logs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Lead and train other refrigeration technicians in good engineering practices.
