Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration systems in our plant. You will work on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and controls, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This on-site role requires 5+ years of industrial refrigeration experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to lead others. You must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of industrial refrigeration experience required.
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems required.
• Proven knowledge of refrigeration, high-pressure steam boilers, HVAC, controls, and PSM/RMP fundamentals required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals and repair documents.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of the refrigeration cycle and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ammonia equipment.
• Maintain operational logs accurately and timely.
• Receive or transfer ammonia in plant systems as qualified.
• Lead and train other refrigeration technicians.
