Farmer Focus is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair its industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. You will ensure safe, reliable plant operation, working on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and controls while keeping detailed logs and complying with PSM/RMP requirements.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of industrial refrigeration experience, including ammonia systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, high‑pressure steam boilers, HVAC, controls, and the fundamentals of PSM/RMP.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, procedures, and repair documents.
• Ability to update and maintain control system P&IDs, SOPs, and preventive maintenance work orders.
• Leadership and training ability for other refrigeration technicians.
• Flexible schedule with overtime and weekend work.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the refrigeration cycle, equipment, controls, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ammonia systems and related equipment.
• Maintain operational logs and timely work orders.
• Receive or transfer ammonia in plant systems as qualified.
• Monitor equipment for heat, vibration, noise, or signs of malfunction.
• Adhere to safety policies and PSM/RMP requirements.
