Job summary

VaCom is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple projects involving custom controls, retrofits, and turnkey industrial refrigeration systems. You will work with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, GE, Wonderware, and Opto22, coordinating with vendors, contractors and customers.

Responsibilities include scheduling, on-site coordination, commissioning, and delivering project deliverables such as panels and field devices. Travel and PPE use are required as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Strong spreadsheet skills and word document preparation (documentation, manuals, proposals).
• Ability to trouble shoot at a high level electromechanical system.
• Proven ability to acquire new knowledge and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform project scheduling for all activities using Smartsheet.
• Manage subcontractors and create daily schedules for the installation process including all trades.
• Perform start-up and commissioning schedules for all activities during the commissioning phase.
• Manage customer expectations related to current and future projects.
• Coordinate project tasks and items with customers and suppliers.
• Attend project meetings, keep notes and assign tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the project team and customers.
• Assist with project start up, commissioning and training remotely or on site.
• Provide change orders as needed during project execution.
