Trident Seafoods is seeking a Refrigeration Operator I to maintain industrial refrigeration systems and related equipment. You will follow procedures, perform preventive maintenance, document inspections, and collaborate with QA/QC to keep temperatures in spec for all product types.

Responsibilities include servicing plate, blast, tunnel and spiral freezers, compressors, condensers, purgers, pumps, and ice machines. The role supports the production schedule with long shifts in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years in industrial or commercial refrigeration (Freon or Ammonia).
• HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in refrigeration tech.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification is optional.
• RETA CARO or equivalent; must obtain within 1 year of employment.
• HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Operate refrigeration system following plant operating and maintenance procedures.
• Perform scheduled mechanical integrity inspections (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Document daily system logs and report findings.
• Assist in routine service and maintenance with Operators and Technicians.
• Help with pre/post season parts and supply inventories.
• Train Refrigeration Assistants in day-to-day activities.
• Pursue Refrigeration Technician qualifications.
