Job summary

Trident Seafoods seeks a Refrigeration Operator II to maintain industrial refrigeration systems and support continuous production in our Alaska facilities. You will follow procedures, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with the QA/QC team to keep temperatures within specification.

The role requires 3–6+ years in industrial refrigeration, a HS diploma, and willingness to work long shifts (12–14 hours). Living quarters are provided; safety and teamwork are highly valued.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-6+ years of Industrial or Commercial Refrigeration Experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in a Refrigeration Technical Program.
• Preferred: RETA CARO certification, or equivalent; must obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Operate the system following plant operating and maintenance procedures.
• Perform mechanical integrity inspections (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Ensure daily system logs are maintained.
• Plan/perform routine maintenance with contractors or Refrigeration Technicians.
• Gather pre/post season parts/inventory.
• Train Operator I’s and Refrigeration Assistants in day-to-day activities.
• Identify issues and escalate per troubleshooting procedures.
• Review technical bulletins, service documents, and schematics.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in the PSM program and maintain repair records.
• Adhere to Environmental and Safety Policies and training requirements.
