Job summary

Socket.dev Refrigeration Manager leads the operation, maintenance, safety and reliability of all industrial refrigeration systems across the Jackson facility. You will direct Refrigeration Supervisors, technicians, and maintenance staff while aligning with production needs.

You will develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets and lead continuous-improvement initiatives in partnership with plant leadership and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–10 years in industrial refrigeration within a manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Industrial ammonia refrigeration experience strongly preferred.
• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance and regulatory-compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the facility’s industrial refrigeration systems.
• Ensure reliable performance of compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, motors, valves, piping, instrumentation, PLCs, electrical controls, and related equipment.
• Monitor system operating conditions, energy usage, equipment performance, and refrigeration capacity.
• Identify equipment deficiencies and develop corrective-action plans to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and system performance.
• Oversee routine, preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Review and prioritize refrigeration work orders based on safety, compliance, production needs, and equipment reliability.
• Review previous work orders and outstanding tasks when developing schedules.
• Verify the accuracy of maintenance records and completed work orders.
• Coordinate system shutdowns, repairs, upgrades, and installations with multiple departments.
• Evaluate new equipment, technology, maintenance practices, and system improvements.
• Ensure replacement parts and critical components are available to support operations.
