Job summary

JBS Foods seeks a Refrigeration Technician in Booneville, MS to maintain and repair industrial refrigeration systems in a food manufacturing setting. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and support safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include scheduling shutdowns, minimizing downtime, and collaborating with maintenance leadership. Weekend/holiday work may be required; strong time management and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years in refrigeration or boiler room preferred.
• Operator 1 and Operator 2 preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial maintenance and electrical functions.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to follow and implement safety rules.
• Proficient time management and prioritization.
• Able to use a computer for engine room tasks and email.
• SCBA certification for Haz-Mat.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and complete work orders and preventive maintenance paperwork.
• Maintain a log book of all breakdowns and corrective actions taken.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Schedule shutdowns of equipment and machinery for repairs and maintenance without disrupting production.
• Troubleshoot equipment mechanically and electrically for any issues.
• Utilize time effectively to minimize equipment downtime and repairs.
• Be safety-minded and follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures for all equipment.
• Be a team player and seek guidance when needed.
• Be on call when needed and able to work alone if required.
