Martin Painting & Coating Co. in Columbus, OH is seeking an Industrial Refinish Technician to renew and refinish existing industrial painted surfaces. The role combines surface prep, coating application, touch-ups, and detailed finishing.

You will use brushes, rollers, and approved equipment to apply coatings, perform touch-ups, and protect surrounding areas. Follow safety procedures and assist with setup, materials, and project cleanup; weekend work and respirator compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or commercial painting is preferred.
• Refinish, repaint, or coating experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with brush and roller application is preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Must be able to perform physical work all day.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Respirator compliance requires clean shaven.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Smartphone needed for timesheets and communication.
• Weekend availability (at least two weekends/month) is expected.
• Dependable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for refinishing and remove loose paint.
• Scrape, sand, and clean areas to be refinished.
• Apply paints and coatings with brushes, rollers, or equipment.
• Perform touch-ups and finish work.
• Protect surrounding areas and equipment.
• Assist with material and tool setup and project cleanup.
• Adhere to project requirements and safety procedures.
• Work safely at elevated locations when required.
