Martin Painting & Coating Co. is seeking an Industrial Refinish Technician to renew and refinish existing industrial painted surfaces. The role combines surface work, coating application, touch-ups, and detailed finishing, with duties spanning surface prep to cleanup.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or commercial painting experience preferred.
• Refinish, repaint, or coating experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with brush and roller application preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Smartphone required for timesheets and communication.
• Availability to work at least two weekends per month.
• Dependable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare existing painted surfaces for refinishing.
• Remove loose or deteriorated paint and coatings.
• Scrape, sand, clean, and prepare assigned areas.
• Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and approved equipment.
• Complete touch-ups and detail work.
• Protect surrounding surfaces and equipment.
• Assist with setup of materials and equipment.
• Maintain tools and work areas.
• Assist with project cleanup.
• Follow project requirements and safety procedures.
• Work safely at elevated locations when required.
