Job summary

Martin Painting & Co. is seeking a reliable painter to prepare equipment surfaces for painting, remove contaminants, and apply coatings using brushes and rollers. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and working from elevated platforms when required.

Qualifications

• Industrial, commercial, equipment painting, or construction experience preferred.
• Experience painting equipment or machinery is a plus.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Physically able to perform painting and preparation work.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Smartphone required for timesheets and communication.
• Availability to work at least two weekends per month.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment surfaces for painting.
• Remove loose paint, dirt, and surface contaminants.
• Scrape, sand, and clean surfaces as required.
• Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and approved equipment.
• Complete touch-ups and detail work.
• Mask and protect components that should not be painted.
• Assist with moving and organizing materials and equipment.
• Maintain tools and painting equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow project requirements and safety procedures.
• Perform work from elevated platforms when required.
