Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Pump Mechanic Associate to assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps for industrial use. You will diagnose problems, identify parts, and test pumps to ensure reliability.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skill, the ability to lift heavy objects, and adherence to safety and environmental policies. This on-site position in California offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical experience preferred.
• High School or GED/Vocational School.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and inspect equipment including submersible, centrifugal, split case, and vertical pumps.
• Record parts and materials needed and request new parts.
• Test completed pumps according to procedures.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop and follow safety policies.
• May perform back-up driver duties and assist in deliveries.
