Job summary

Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Project Manager to drive successful execution and profitability of projects. You will lead and support a team, serve as primary customer contact, and manage work plans, site activities, and proposals.

You will also provide field directives, cost estimates, and pricing input while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance. This role demands strong leadership, budgeting, and client-facing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences or related disciplines preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial services, hydro blasting, or chemical cleaning.
• Cost estimating and computer experience.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong customer management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and processes.
• Manage project adherence to safety, regulatory, and corporate policies.
• Write and communicate with clients and team members.
• Provide timely, concise information to superiors and subordinates.
• Prepare proposals with cost estimates, work scopes, and schedules.
• Develop relationships with key customers and address issues.
• Guide subordinates to meet budget expectations.
• Handle credit and collections for managed units.
• Provide engineering/technical support to offices.
• Assume full responsibility for project finances and documentation.
• Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and subcontractor selections.
• Enforce Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Directors on issue resolution.
• Ensure financial documentation reflects project health.
