Job summary

Notch Mechanical in Worcester, MA seeks a Project Manager/Estimator to oversee multiple construction projects, estimate costs, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with field teams to ensure timely completion.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial mechanical or construction management, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and drafting. This role reports to the VP of Estimating and PM; some site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical construction, piping, plumbing and refrigeration; design, estimating and PM experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• PE or CPC certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with the customer industry, manufacturing processes, equipment and techniques.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, and project management software (e.g., MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and determine resources.
• Prepare accurate project estimates by reviewing specifications, drawings and information.
• Monitor construction to meet design, budget and schedule, communicating with clients, architects/engineers and contractors.
• Direct on-site crew leaders to ensure efficient work within budget.
• Provide technical assistance to craftsmen, including interpreting drawings and equipment recommendations.
• Act as primary client contact, maintaining relationships and representing the company in meetings.
• Identify potential new projects from existing clients and pursue leads.
• Oversee contracts, purchase orders, change orders and ensure compliance with codes and drawings.
