Job summary

Noel Group is seeking a Project Manager / Engineer in California to lead design, bidding, and construction of industrial systems. You will coordinate sales, engineering and field teams, develop drawings, and ensure schedules and budgets are met.

The role requires hands-on AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience, strong communication, and frequent travel for site visits and commissioning. Reports to the VP of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of project management experience or 7 years PM experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software systems.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales to design and develop specifications and drawing for projects and cost estimates.
• Review sales proposals and prepare material, labor estimates for bids.
• Assist sales with technical and/or project management presentations.
• Prepare mechanical, electrical, piping and control drawings using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
• Develop construction drawings and oversee schedule, budget and design integrity.
• Provide after-shipment support for system commissioning.
• Maintain key relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Serve as senior technical support and liaison with principals on product issues.
