Job summary

PMD Automation seeks a Project Engineer I to lead mechanical engineering efforts across projects from conception to completion. You will ensure designs meet scope, metrics, budget, and schedule while guiding a team of engineers to achieve project goals.

You will develop system layouts, manage vendor quotes, create detailed drawings, and support fabrication and testing to validate customer requirements. Strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills and GD&T knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in designing automated assembly equipment.
• Proficient in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of GD&T and EPDM.
• In depth knowledge of automated assembly and test machines.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Concept layout of complete system and standardization for efficiency.
• Lead a team of mechanical engineers to meet project goals.
• Develop plans to meet project schedule and budget; provide ETC and completion dates.
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings; generate BOMs.
• Release completed designs to Project Management and support fabrication, assembly, debug, and validation.
