Job summary

TriStarr Talent represents a well-established Texas manufacturer seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead four to five concurrent projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate engineering, production, vendors, transportation, field installation, and general contractors, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate brings strong job-costing discipline and deep industrial/construction knowledge, including precast or prestressed concrete experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined project-management experience within construction and industrial manufacturing.
• 4+ years at PM or Senior PM level, including mentoring others.
• Industrial manufacturing experience required.
• Precast concrete, prestressed concrete, structural concrete, steel fabrication, engineered building products or related background strongly preferred.
• Experience with general contractors on commercial/industrial/infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in job costing, forecasting, cost containment, budget recasting and margin protection.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts and schedules.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously without loss of control over details, deadlines, or communications.
• Strong leadership, organization, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience with Sage, Bluebeam, Textura, Buildertrend, or similar systems.
• Spanish-English bilingual communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage four to five concurrent projects from preconstruction through manufacturing, delivery, installation and closeout.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction to review bids, proposals, drawings, specs, schedules and contracts.
• Lead kickoff meetings and ensure smooth transitions between preconstruction, engineering, production, and field execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for all phases including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, shipping and erection.
• Own project financial performance: budgets, forecasts, job costing, cost-to-complete, margins and variance analysis.
• Compare estimated costs to actuals and address schedule or budget risks early.
• Manage contracts and deliverables with engineering firms, suppliers, transporters, erection contractors and partners.
• Serve as primary contact for general contractors, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and field resources per project priorities.
• Monitor progress and recommend schedule, cost, quality and performance improvements.
• Provide regular status updates and flag risks requiring decisions.
• Offer leadership and guidance to project teams and drive process improvements.

TriStarr Talent has the pleasure of representing a well-established Texas manufacturer serving industrial, infrastructure, and commercial construction markets currently seeking a Senior Project Manager.

This is a hands-on project leadership role for someone who understands the intersection of manufacturing and construction. You will manage four to five active projects at a time, typically ranging from $200k -$1 Million each, while coordinating engineering, production, vendors, transportation, field installation, and general contractors.

The right candidate will bring strong job-costing discipline, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to keep multiple projects moving on schedule and at or under budget. Industrial manufacturing experience is required; precast or prestressed concrete experience is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Manage four to five concurrent projects from preconstruction and contract review through manufacturing, delivery, installation, and closeout.
• Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to review bid documents, proposals, project assumptions, drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction into engineering, production, and field execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering engineering, submittals, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, erection, and closeout.
• Own project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, job costing, cost-to-complete projections, margin protection, and variance analysis.
• Compare estimated costs against actual performance and identify potential schedule or budget issues before they affect the project.
• Manage contracts and deliverables involving engineering firms, suppliers, transportation providers, erection contractors, and other project partners.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, documentation, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, engineering, production capacity, and field resources based on project priorities.
• Monitor project progress and recommend adjustments to improve schedule, cost, quality, and operational performance.
• Provide clear and consistent updates regarding project status, risks, financial performance, and required decisions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Project Managers and project team members.
• Help improve project-management processes, reporting standards, technology use, and coordination across departments.

What We're Looking For

• At least 10 years of combined project-management experience within construction and industrial manufacturing.
• Minimum of four years working at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, including experience leading or mentoring other Project Managers.
• Industrial manufacturing experience is required.
• Precast concrete, prestressed concrete, structural concrete, steel fabrication, engineered building products, or a similar made-to-order manufacturing background is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience working directly with general contractors on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in job costing, forecasting, cost containment, budget recasting, change management, and margin protection.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Experience managing several projects simultaneously without losing control of details, deadlines, or customer communication.
• Strong leadership, organization, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Sage, Bluebeam, Textura, Buildertrend, or comparable construction and manufacturing project-management systems.
• Spanish-English bilingual communication skills are preferred due to regular interaction with field and production teams.
