Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Industrial Construction (MAIC) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage multiple industrial mechanical projects from estimation through closeout in the Glen Burnie area. You will coordinate with the Operations Manager and field teams to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery of piping, equipment setting, and plant maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years industrial construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, layout drawings, and piping isometrics.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and welding processes SMAW, GTAW, FCAW.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in the Baltimore metro area.
• US Citizenship or Green Card status.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with the Operations Manager and foremen to support field execution and resolve technical roadblocks.
• Manage project buy-out processes for supplied materials and ensure compliance with standards.
• Track project budgets using the cost control system and identify out-of-scope changes.
• Draft RFIs and update drawings to keep engineering specs current.
• Formulate project estimates by analyzing labor, materials, and subcontractor quotes.
• Visit active project sites weekly to verify progress and photograph updates.
• Build strong relationships with clients to understand facility layouts and production objectives.
